Natica pinyonensis

Taxonomy
Natica pinyonensis was named by Dickerson (1914) [m. kosnik taxon no: 10084]. Its type specimen is no number listed, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCMP loc. 2246, Rock Creek, which is in a Selandian shallow subtidal sandstone/shale in the San Francisquito Formation of California.

It was recombined as Polinices pinyonensis by Smith (1975); it was recombined as Crommium pinyonensis by Marincovich (1977), Squires (1987).
