Taxonomy
Clamorosaurus was named by Gubin (1983). It is not extant. Its type is Clamorosaurus nocturnus.

It was assigned to Eryopidae by Gubin (1983), Carroll (1988) and Shishkin et al. (2000); and to Eryopinae by Schoch and Milner (2014).
