Heterodontichnites hunti
Taxonomy
Heterodontichnites hunti was named by Rinehart et al. (2006). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is NMMNH P18111, an other (tooth-marked clavicle of Buettneria), and it is a trace fossil. Its type locality is Lamy Amphibian Quarry, NMMNH Loc. 1176 (bed 7), which is in a Carnian lacustrine - small mudstone in the Garita Creek Formation of New Mexico. It is the type species of Heterodontichnites.
