Xenosphinctes berkai

Taxonomy
Xenosphinctes berkai was named by Scherzinger and Schweigert (2017). Its type specimen is SMNS 70413, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Railway cutting NW of Talmühle, which is in a Tithonian carbonate limestone in the Hangende-Bankkalke Formation of Germany. It is the type species of Xenosphinctes.
