Camachoaster maquedensis
Taxonomy
Camachoaster maquedensis was named by Mooi et al. (2018). Its type specimen is MACN-Pi 5809, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Monophoraster bed S of Punta Maqueda, which is in a Miocene coastal sandstone in the Chenque Formation of Argentina. It is the type species of Camachoaster.
