Taxonomy
Dipnotuberculus bagirovi was named by Krupina and Prisyazhnaya (2014) [Wide anterior corner of palatal skull part with paired tuberous teeth on each side from mid line. Paired intermediate tooth rows continuing paired anterior teeth. Teeth of intermediate row elongated rostrocaudally rather than transversally.]. Its type specimen is PIN, 5163/50, a partial skull (incomplete palatal skull part), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Dipnotuberculus bagirovi-type locality, which is in a Givetian marine siltstone in the Russian Federation.
