Mesanerpeton woodi
Taxonomy
Mesanerpeton woodi was named by Smithson and Clack (2018). It is not extant. Its type specimen is NMS G. 2012.39.13, a partial skeleton (right clavicle, humerus and ulna, with a neural arch, centrum and rib, preserved on a single block of matrix). Its type locality is Willie’s Hole Bed 3 (plant bed), which is in a Tournaisian floodplain siltstone in the Ballagan Formation of the United Kingdom.
