It was assigned to Salientia by Stirton (1953); to Anura by Carroll (1988); to Neobatrachia by Hecht (1960), Estes (1964) and Báez (1991); to Hyloidea by Sanchiz (1998) and Hoegg et al. (2004); to Anura by Frank and Ramus (1996) and Martinelli and Forasiepi (2004); and to Neobatrachia by Fernicola and Albino (2012).
