It was assigned to Verticillitidae by Rigby and Blodgett (1983); to Calcarea by Sepkoski (2002); to Fissispongiidae by Finks et al. (2004), Rigby et al. (2009); and to Solenolmiinae by Senowbari-Daryan and Rigby (2015).
