Epophioceroides apertus
Taxonomy
Epophioceroides apertus was named by Dommergues et al. (2010). Its type specimen is UBGD 277102 and is a cast. Its type locality is Sao Pedro de Muel, Penedo da Saudade section, Bed 5088, which is in a Sinemurian marine limestone in the Coimbra Formation of Portugal. It is the type species of Epophioceroides.
