Placodus inexpectatus

Taxonomy
Placodus inexpectatus was named by Jiang et al. (2008). It is not extant. Its type specimen is GMPKU-P-1054, a skeleton. Its type locality is Yangjuan Village, Xinmin District, which is in a Pelsonian marine horizon in the Guanling Formation of China.
