Dipnorhynchus kiandrensis
Taxonomy
Dipnorhynchus kiandrensis was named by Campbell and Barwick (1982) [Skull transverse; most roofing bones more transverse in outline than their homologues in D. sussmilchi; interorbital width c. 183% of the length of the bones B+C; only two or three lateral line bones between M and the sharp medial flexure of the canal on the snout; bone 14 extending up into the Y1-Y2 line; cheek below the Y2-14-T line probably mobile; operculum lying below the level of the lateral edge of Y 2.]. It is not extant. Its type specimen is ANU35642, a skull. Its type locality is Dipnorhynchuskiandrensis-type locality, which is in an Emsian marine limestone in the Lick Hole Limestone Formation of Australia.
