Erikia jarviki
Taxonomy
Erikia jarviki was named by Chang and Wang (1995) [Dipnorhynchid of small size, pineal foramen absent, B bone very small, I bones transversely elongated, anterior parts of I bones not separated by B bone, J bones large and trapezoidal with short medial and much longer lateral margins, long C bones posteriorly extended to the level of the posterior half of Y1 bone, small number of supraorbital sensory canal bearing series flanking C bone, supratemporal series short.]. It is not extant. Its type specimen is IVPP V12135, a partial skull (Nearly complete skull roof with its counter part). Its type locality is Erikia-type locality, which is in an Emsian marine mudstone in the Pochiao Formation of China.
