Taxonomy
Porosoma reesidei was named by Cooke (1953). Its type specimen is USNM 108367 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS 23423, Little Horse Creek, which is in a Coniacian marine sandstone in the Frontier Formation of Wyoming.
