Faujasia chelonium
Taxonomy
Faujasia chelonium was named by Cooke (1953). Its type specimen is USNM 108377 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS 10854, Indio Ranch, which is in a Maastrichtian estuary/bay siltstone in the Escondido Formation of Texas.
It was recombined as Domechinus chelonium by Kier (1962).
