Catopygus mississippiensis
Taxonomy
Catopygus mississippiensis was named by Cooke (1953). Its type specimen is USNM 108379 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS 6851, Houston, which is in a Maastrichtian carbonate chalk in the Prairie Bluff Chalk Formation of Mississippi.
