Taxonomy
Lingulocystis boliviensis was named by Sprinkle (1973). Its type specimen is NMNH 8008 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sella, which is in an Arenig deep subtidal shelf shale/limestone in the Sella Formation of Bolivia.
