Taxonomy
Ammonites buarquianus was named by White (1887). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Oxytropidoceras buarquianum by Maury (1936); it was recombined as Oxytropidoceras (Mirapelia) buarquianum by Cooper (1982); it was recombined as Mirapelia buarquianum by Tajika et al. (2018).
