Taxonomy
Microbrachis mollis was named by Fritsch (1883). It is not extant. Its type specimen is CGH 3015, Orig. 138, a partial skull. Its type locality is Nyrany, which is in a Westphalian D lacustrine coal in the Kladno Formation of the Czech Republic.
