Taxonomy
Limnerpeton obtusatum was named by Fritsch (1883). It is not extant. Its type specimen is CGH Orig. 236, a skeleton. Its type locality is Nyrany, which is in a Westphalian D lacustrine coal in the Kladno Formation of Czechia.
