Taxonomy
Sutneria (Sutneria) spinata was named by Grigore (2009). Its type specimen is LRs9F1, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sample F1, F Block, Ghilcoş northwestern slope, which is in a Kimmeridgian carbonate limestone in Romania.
