Taxonomy
Neochonetes (Huangichonetes) matsukawensis was named by Tazawa and Araki (2018). Its type specimen is KCG061, a valve (ventral valve), and it is a mold. Its type locality is AR4, Anabuchi, Matsukawa, Kesennuma City, which is in a Wordian marine sandstone in the Kanokura Formation of Japan.
