Turbo topangensis
Taxonomy
Turbo topangensis was named by Arnold (1907). Its type specimen is USNM 164980, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Head of Topanga Canyon (Arnold 1907), which is in a Miocene coastal siliciclastic in the Topanga Canyon Formation of California.
It was recombined as Astraea topangensis by Hoots (1931).
