Osprioneides kampto was named by Beuck et al. (2008). It is considered to be a form taxon. It is a trace fossil. Its type locality is Halls Huk 3, which is in a Sheinwoodian shallow subtidal reef rocks in the Upper Visby Formation of Sweden.
