Acresuchus pachytemporalis
Taxonomy
Acresuchus pachytemporalis was named by Souza-Filho et al. (2019). Its type specimen is UFAC-2507, a skull (nearly complete skull with both hemimandibles), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Niteroi, which is in a Tortonian fluvial-lacustrine claystone/conglomerate in the Solimões Formation of Brazil. It is the type species of Acresuchus.
