Fungocystites rarissimus
Taxonomy
Fungocystites rarissimus was named by Barrande (1887). It is extant. Its type locality is Chrustenice, which is in a Vinice marine shale in the Vinice Formation of Czechia. It is the type species of Fungocystites.
It was recombined as Fungocystis rarissimus by Haeckel (1896); it was recombined as Protocrinites rarissimus by Jaekel (1899).
