Guangxiconcha was named by Zhang (1977). It is not extant. Its type is Guangxiconcha hechiensis.
It was assigned to Lunulacardiidae by Zhang (1977); to Pterochaeniinae by Fang and Ding (1993), Fang et al. (2009); and to Guangxiconchidae by Bouchet et al. (2010).
