Taxonomy
Euspira marianus was named by Murphy and Rodda (1960). Its type specimen is UCLA 28636 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCLA loc. 3465, Huling Creek, which is in a Cenomanian marine sandstone in the Budden Canyon Formation of California.
