Taxonomy
Desmoceras (Latidorsella) barryae was named by Anderson (1958). Its type specimen is CAS 61797.02, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is CAS loc. 1346A, Hulen Creek, upper beds, which is in an Albian/Cenomanian marine sandstone in California.
It was recombined as Desmoceras (Pseudouhligella) barryae by Murphy and Rodda (1960).
