Taxonomy
Beudanticeras argonauticum was named by Anderson (1958). Its type specimen is CAS 1346.01, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is CAS Loc. 1346, Ono, which is in an Albian marine siliciclastic in the Budden Canyon Formation of California.
It was recombined as Desmoceras (Pseudouhligella) argonauticum by Murphy and Rodda (1960).
