Taxonomy
Remera vacca was named by Saul and Popenoe (1993). Its type specimen is LACMIP 11570 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is LACMIP loc. 10764, Little Cow Creek valley, which is in a Turonian/Turonian shoreface horizon in the Redding Formation of California.
