Carota mitraeformis

Taxonomy
Cordiera mitraeformis was named by Gabb (1869). Its type specimen is MCZ 21856 and is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Volutoderma mitraeformis by Stewart (1927), Anderson (1938), Jones et al. (1978); it was recombined as Carota mitraeformis by Saul and Popenoe (1993).
