Taxonomy
Spiroglyphus tejonensis was named by Arnold (1909). Its type specimen is USNM 165658, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Rotularia tejonense by Squires (1984); it was recombined as Rotularia (Rotularia) tejonense by Squires (1987), Squires (1988).
