Taxonomy
Bakevellia (Neobakevellia) pintadae was named by Damborenea (1987). It is not extant. Its type locality is D15-Cerro Roth South, Bed 100, South Neuquen, which is in a Pliensbachian marine sandstone in the Piedra Pintada Formation of Argentina.
