Lyrischapa lajollaensis

Taxonomy
Pejona lajollaensis was named by Hanna (1927). Its type specimen is Holotype lost, UCMP 14634 (neotype), a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCR loc. 4922, which is in a Lutetian deep subtidal shelf shale in the Ardath Formation of California.

It was recombined as Volutocorbis lajollaensis by Clark (1934); it was recombined as Lyrischapa lajollaensis by Givens and Kennedy (1979), Squires (1984), Squires (1987), Squires and Demetrion (1992).
