Taxonomy
Rhaetidia zittelii was named by Bittner (1895). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is St. Cassian (K.K. Geol Reichsanstalt coll), which is in a Julian carbonate limestone in the Cassian Formation of Italy.
