Cancellaria crassa
Taxonomy
Cancellaria crassa was named by Nomland (1917). Its type specimen is UCMP 11098, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Chico area in Bell's Canyon north of Simi fault (Locality 2 of Waring 1917), which is in a Campanian marine mudstone in the Chatsworth Formation of California.
