Priscosturion longipinnis
Taxonomy
Psammorhynchus longipinnis was named by Grande and Hilton (2006). Its type specimen is MOR 1184, a skeleton (well-preserved nearly complete skeleton), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is MOR JR-168, Fanny Hill, which is in a Campanian fluvial-deltaic sandstone in the Judith River Formation of Montana. It is the type species of Psammorhynchus, Priscosturion.
It was recombined as Priscosturion longipinnis by Grande and Hilton (2009).
