Eosuchus
Taxonomy
Eosuchus was named by Dollo (1907). It is not extant. Its type is Eosuchus lerichei.
It was assigned to Crocodylidae by Carroll (1988); to Gavialoidea by Brochu (2007); to Gavialidae by Rio and Mannion (2021); to Eusuchia by Darlim et al. (2022); and to Gavialoidea by Delfino et al. (2005), Brochu (2006), Vélez-Juarbe et al. (2007), Jouve et al. (2008), Salas-Gismondi et al. (2016) and Burke et al. (2024).
