Aulodomus was named by Schrammen (1937) [Sepkoski's age data: J Oxfo-l Sepkoski's reference number: 775]. It is not extant.

It was reranked as Eurete (Aulodomus) by Finks et al. (2004).

It was assigned to Hexactinosa by Sepkoski (2002); and to Eurete by Finks et al. (2004).
