Taxonomy
Nassa arnoldi was named by Anderson (1905). It is the type species of Catilon.

It was recombined as Nassarius (Uzita) arnoldi by Grant and IV and Gale (1931); it was recombined as Nassarius (Hima) arnoldi by Etherington (1931); it was recombined as Uzita arnoldi by Moore (1963); it was recombined as Nassarius (Catilon) arnoldi by Addicott (1965), Addicott (1970).
