Taxonomy
Moniliopsis electilis was named by Keen (1943). Its type specimen is LSJU 7540 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is LSJU loc. 2121 [Round Mountain Silt], which is in a Langhian marine siltstone in the Round Mountain Formation of California.
It was recombined as Ophiodermella electilis by Addicott (1970).
