Mangelia (Notocytharella) kernensis

Taxonomy
Mangilia kernensis was named by Anderson and Martin (1914). Its type specimen is CAS 233 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is CAS loc. 65, northeast of Barker's Ranch, which is in a Miocene coastal horizon in the Temblor Formation of California.

It was recombined as Pseudomelatoma kernensis by Etherington (1931); it was recombined as Mangelia (Cacodaphnella) kernensis by Keen (1943); it was recombined as Mangelia (Notocytharella) kernensis by Addicott (1970).
