Taxonomy
Neoschizodus kobayashii was named by Ichikawa (1951). It is not extant. Its type specimen is UMUT PM5317. Its type locality is Katsura, Kochi Prefecture, which is in a Changhsingian marine sandstone in the Katsura Formation of Japan.
