Taxonomy
Yunshanoperna yunshanensis was named by Chen (1984). Its type specimen is NIGPAS 81471 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Qihulin Hill, Hulin, which is in a Cretaceous marine horizon in the Yunshan Formation of China. It is the type species of Yunshanoperna.
