Taxonomy
Allobuchia apiculata was named by Yu (1983). Its type specimen is Shenyang Institute of Geology and Mineral Resources, BH1557a and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Chaoyangtun, Hulin, which is in a Cretaceous marine horizon in the Yunshan Formation of China. It is the type species of Allobuchia.
