Taxonomy
Bupecten (Linobupecten) reticularis was named by Guo (1985). Its type specimen is Geological Museum of China, Beijing, IVy0287 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Dehua, Pu'er, which is in a Triassic marine horizon in the Taozishu Formation of China. It is the type species of Bupecten (Linobupecten).
