Limanichthys fraseri

Limanichthys fraseri was named by Challands et al. (2019) [Dipnoan with unossified neurocranium in which the anterolateral margin of the Y 1-bone contacts the posterolateral margin of the X-bone and the posterior margin of the X-bone contacts the anterior margin of the I-bone. Paired C-bones that contact two-thirds of the length of the medial margin of the fused K-L bones.]. Its type specimen is NMS G. 2017.10.2a (part), b (counterpart)., a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Burnmouth Limanichthys type locality, which is in a Tournaisian floodplain siltstone in the Ballagan Formation of the United Kingdom.
