Taxonomy
Potomida (Palaeopotomida) sichuanensis was named by Ma (1999). Its type specimen is NIGPAS 108601 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Nanshan, Guangyuan, which is in a Jurassic marine horizon in China. It is the type species of Potomida (Palaeopotomida).
