Taxonomy
Multiplicanaia was named by Yu and Zhang (1984). It is not extant. Its type is Multiplicanaia tujingziensis.

It was synonymized subjectively with Martinsonella by Gu and Yu (1999).

It was assigned to Trigonioididae by Yu and Zhang (1984).
